Erica Rodebush: Eager to Make a Difference

I look forward to meeting the legislators and securing more federal funding for diabetes research and a cure.  With this increased funding it should be possible to fund beneficial research and new technologies to increase the quality of life for all diabetics.

I haven't been involved in advocacy before.  However if it would make a difference I would be actively involved.  I have attended diabetes camp two years in a row in Oklahoma. During these summer visits I have heard many sad stories about how other children have dealt with diabetes and I have heard triumphs of kids who have succeeded in having some control of their diabetes.

Again I would like to say we need to rally forces to raise money, fund research, and find a cure for diabetes for all kids and adults who suffer this terrible affliction.
