Logan is a vibrant second grader with many hobbies and friends. He likes to play sports like football, baseball, basketball, and lacrosse. At home, he likes to read Dog Man and draw, inspired by author/illustrator Dav Pilkey. He also likes to play video games. His best friend is his golden retriever named Shadow, whom he is training to become a diabetes-alert dog.

When Logan was first diagnosed with T1D, life was hard, but he never let it hold him back. Logan was diagnosed in the ER on a Tuesday and was back in school on Friday with the rallying support of his diabetes care team, family, and school. In the blink of an eye, he transformed from a small child who feared shots into a brave warrior who gives himself insulin injections. He has struggled to use insulin pumps due to intense adhesive skin irritation and is passionate about advancing innovation to improve the quality of life for those living with T1D. “I want to see companies have success with new diabetes treatments and that we will find a cure one day.”
