Cameron was seven years old when her mother, a nurse, noticed she was exhibiting the symptoms of T1D, which ultimately led to her diagnosis. It was a hectic time for her family. She says, “I was seven, so of course, I didn’t know anything that was going on, but you figure things out real fast.” Since then, she’s become a JDRF Youth Advocacy Leader, an honor roll student and a varsity tennis player. She’s even been interviewed on the news. Cameron is looking forward to telling her Representatives to “support research so they too can help turn Type One into Type None.”
