Age: 5
Age at T1D diagnosis: 1

Lincoln loves to go to preschool, build with Legos and play hide-and-go-seek. Lincoln was diagnosed with T1D before his twin brother and likes to help him out when he can. His mother says, “When Lincoln could test himself and Leland was still struggling, Lincoln would take the poker and do it for his brother.” Lincoln and his brother are very active in their T1D community. The pair has been in two awareness videos that document the day in the life of a kid with T1D. They’ve been speakers at a local children’s hospital—and they’ve met with their Senator to thank him for supporting the Special Diabetes Program. Lincoln has big dreams for the future. When he grows up he wants to be a firefighter, a zoo keeper or a policeman.
