Stefano is no ordinary kid. From the time of his diagnosis in 2014, he made it a purpose to break all stereotypes and set himself apart. In addition to balancing his rigorous academic schedule, Stefano founded a nonprofit initiative with JDRF called Project LastDrop for teens to raise funds and awareness for T1D. He is also working on a tech startup, serves on his school’s Key Club Executive Board and founded his school’s peer tutoring program. He is very active with JDRF, serving as the Senior Youth Ambassador, conducting outreach to newly diagnosed families and interning with his chapter to revamp their social media pages. Stefano looks forward to bringing his confidence and passion to D.C. to help make a positive impact for all those living with T1D.
