Jasmine is a varsity cheerleader, volunteer at a nursing home and a member of a female empowerment group that brings together young girls to build each other up, build character and gain valuable leadership skills. Jasmine participate in JDRF One Walk events and has served as a JDRF Youth Ambassador. She has a strong passion for advocacy—particularly when it comes to those who struggle to afford T1D supplies—and looks forward to bringing her powerful voice to D.C. this summer. “My future dream is to live a life without T1D, but until then, I wish to contribute toward families who are in need of medical and financial assistance. Things aren’t always good with T1D, but I can say that my good days outnumber my bad days.”
