Tylor was diagnosed with T1D in the summer before her 7th grade. She remembers finding every way possible to hide her diabetes devices while in middle school. Upon starting high school, she figured out how T1D is her superpower! She has used her T1D diagnosis story to help her build her pageant platform, supporting diabetes awareness and education.

She loves to keep herself very busy! She is not only a high school student but also takes college courses. She also loves to be as involved in her community as possible through volunteering and attending community service events with her Leos Club. It rewards her and gives her more opportunities to show that T1D doesn’t hold her back. She wants to show younger kids with T1D that diabetes is a strength, not a weakness. She believes that mental health is the most critical and difficult part of managing T1D and plans to one day become a psychologist.
