Pieter is honored to represent the Netherlands as an International Delegate at Breakthrough T1D Children’s Congress. He’s excited to share this story, offer advice on managing T1D, and connect with other kids worldwide who face similar challenges. Pieter has had T1D since he was seven, and he can’t imagine life without it. Managing his blood sugar while playing sports is tough, but his insulin pump and CGM make it easier.

Pieter has been involved with Breakthrough T1D for several years. He’s helped raise money through ice cream sales and the Walk. He enjoys soccer, playing online games, and spending time with his dog and friends.
