Zoe is 17 years old and a rising senior in Boulder, CO. She was diagnosed with diabetes in March 2017 when she was 9 years old. Although diabetes is all-consuming, Zoe does not let it define her. Even within a few months of diagnosis, she was determined to go to a regular sleepaway camp in Maine that summer, regardless of her new condition.

Zoe is passionate about diabetes research and clinical care. She aspires to one day be a pediatric endocrinologist. Last summer, she helped run a diabetes education camp in the Dominican Republic and is looking forward to returning this summer as an experienced volunteer.
