Shravya is an ambitious student with a passion for performing, whether it be dance, music, theater, or sharing her ideas with the world. She is an award-winning public forum debater whose diagnosis of type 1 diabetes at the age of 9 years old only furthered her journey of advocacy. She organized her own local T1D awareness walk, which raised funds to create and distribute emergency supply kits to newly diagnosed families. As a Youth Ambassador for Breakthrough T1D, she’s happy to have found a community that is making a difference for people with T1D. In 2023, she took to the TEDx stage to share the story of her diagnosis in the hope of inspiring others to take control over pivotal moments in their lives.
Shravya is a huge music enthusiast who plays piano and guitar, among other instruments. She is an aspiring neuroscientist who loves to bake, crochet, and read books in her free time. She’s beyond excited to speak to our nation’s leaders on resolutions to issues affecting people with T1D nationwide.
