Rylee has been living with type 1 diabetes for over five years. At just 15 years old, she’s not only navigating the responsibilities of learning to drive but also managing her health behind the wheel, always keeping low blood sugar candy and snacks in the car for a safe journey, no matter where she’s headed. As a Breakthrough T1D Youth Ambassador, she’s raised over $10,000 for a cure and connects with newly diagnosed individuals, sharing her experiences to help them navigate the path of their new diagnosis.

Rylee’s love for math has proven invaluable in calculating insulin doses, a skill she developed at 10 years old when she was first diagnosed. Outside of her advocacy and academics, she’s an active member of her high school’s show choir and the varsity band’s color guard team. At home, she enjoys baking and is an avid reader, always finding time to explore new hobbies. Rylee’s story of strength, perseverance, and passion continues to inspire those around her.
