It’s been two days since JDRF Advocacy officially launched the Children's Congress (CC) 2011 application and the number of applicants is growing quickly! It is my honor and sincere pleasure to welcome you to the 2011 Children's Congress website. This site is the center for our growing collection of Children's Congress-related web activities, including our on-line application and interactive blog.

This web site offers dynamic features such as videos from the past Children's Congresses, media clips and articles and delegate profiles. Each week we will update the blog with entries from delegates, celebrities, Members of Congress and JDRF's leadership.  For your family and friends back at home to share, we will even continue updating the blog during Children's Congress in June, 2011.

This site serves as a resource for deadlines, coming events and provides links to existing resources.  I hope you enjoy convenient access to information through the JDRF's Children's Congress online features.

Thank you again for your continued support of JDRF.  Together we can make a difference by working together to advocate for a cure.

Best regards,

Stefany Shaheen

Thanks!

Even though the 2009 Children's Congress is rapidly approaching on June 22, it's never too early to start planning for the next Children’s Congress event in June of 2011.

Our first task is to make sure everyone who wants to apply can get an application conveniently.  You can now text 'CC11' to 56333 to sign-up to automatically receive a CC11 application.

No more having to watch our website or check your email waiting for the application to be posted.  If you text 'CC11' to 56333, we’ll email you an application on June 22, 2010—exactly one year from the start of this year's Children's Congress and about a month before everyone else will see it.

Remember, the three main criteria for applying for the 2011 Children's Congress are:

If you meet these three criteria, just text 'CC11' to 56333.  Standard text messaging rates will apply.

Hope to see you in D.C. in 2011!
