Age at T1D diagnosis: 10 months

Ainsley is a second grader who loves being active and outdoors! You can find her in the dance studio, at the beach, or even at a surf lesson! Ainsley has started to become more independent with her diabetes care and loves helping to make her own lunch and snacks for school, using the scale and writing out her carb counts.

Ainsley was diagnosed with T1D at 10 months old and does not remember a life without it. She enjoys educating her classmates and friends each year on World Diabetes Day at school. She also loves attending her endocrinologist office picnic each June and meeting other girls her age with type 1 diabetes. Walk Day is always another impactful day in her life. She hopes to continue to advocate and educate until there is a cure!
