Age: 16
Age at T1D diagnosis: 4

Bobby enjoys taking part in Model UN and coming up with solutions to real world issues. Both his sister and father also live with T1D. He says, “Thanks to JDRF we have seen great strides in bringing research to reality and I am very sure that with the support of Congress we can stop diabetes…so that every single diabetic doesn’t have to go through the experiences that my family and I have gone through.” To show their support, Bobby’s family takes part in JDRF One Walk every year—and their team has raised over $400,000 for T1D research. When he was younger, Bobby also helped host a Kids Walk that raised more than $11,000 for JDRF. Bobby enjoys being a camp counselor and mentor for young children with T1D.
