Boyden has been working at the hospital to further his hope of becoming a nurse to help children with T1D. He also enjoys playing his three sports: football, basketball, and track and field. His family assists him with his health issues to ensure he can participate in these activities.

Boyden was the third of his siblings to be diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. He was lucky enough to join a medical trial that delayed the onset of his T1D by three years.
