Age at T1D diagnosis: 11
When Connor was diagnosed with T1D at age 11, he was already pretty familiar with the disease, because his brother was diagnosed just one year before him. Since then, he has become very interested in advocating for people with T1D; and now, he wants to spend his career trying to lower the costs of diabetes supplies and securing government funding for T1D research. Connor explains, “my dreams for the future have always been very ambitious, and in the past five years they have been changed a lot because of diabetes, but they have not been restricted because of this disease.” Connor also likes to stay super active by skiing, skateboarding, rock climbing, hiking and cycling.
