Drass might have the widest range of interests of any 3rd grader around! He loves to play soccer, collect and trade Pokemon cards, play with his sisters, hip-hop dance, travel, meet new people, and make new friends. Drass is never shy about talking about life with T1D, “Sometimes people see my pump or continuous glucose monitor and ask me about them, so I explain what T1D is and what it’s like to live with it.”

Drass has participated in several clinical trials, including the Omnipod closed loop trial in 2017, as well as a Glucagon study. When he gets older, Drass plans to keep Hawaii as his home base, but wants to travel the world so that he can help people who don’t have homes, food, or other things that they need.
