Elly is a bright and enthusiastic girl who loves spending quality time with her family and friends. She and her identical twin sister were diagnosed with T1D at the age of 3 in 2017. Although T1D can be very challenging at times, she takes pride in her diabetes management because she has been able to perform her insulin pump site changes, glucose sensor changes, and healthy nutritional choices. As a homeschooler, she works hard to turn in all her schoolwork on time and do well academically.

Aside from her love for her family, she adores her two dogs, Hunter and Loki. Anytime she has an opportunity to share her experience living with T1D, she takes time to explain how this has impacted her, and she enjoys educating on what high and low blood sugars mean.
