Georgia loves playing sports. She’s active in lacrosse, tennis, basketball, and swimming. The activity mode on her insulin pump has been great at preventing the lows that come as a result of all-day lacrosse tournaments. She likes to go for a walk with her dog Winnie or hit tennis balls to bring down high glucose readings and has learned how important it is to stay active to manage her T1D.

Georgia received her diagnosis on October 1, 2024. She was given amazing support from her friends at school, who took turns taking her to the nurse for her insulin shots before lunch. Now that she’s on a pump, she’s able to enjoy more time at recess! She loves the distraction of playing Block Blast on her phone while she gets a pump change and competes with her dad and sister, Charlotte, to get the highest score. Georgia is passionate about raising funds for T1D research. She enjoys art and wants to be an interior designer when she grows up.
