Giuliana is a fun, sassy, and smart young lady. She can always be found outside playing sports or with her dog, Rocky. She was diagnosed with T1D last year, and it has not slowed her down academically or athletically. Giuli is on a competitive travel volleyball team and uses all of her new T1D technology to critically think and plan for highs, lows, and everything in between for each tournament. She wears her pump and glucose monitor proudly! She is also incredibly passionate about music, performing arts, animals, and her family and friends. Diagnosis also did not hinder her academic progress as Giuliana earned First Honors when she was hospitalized.

While new to the T1D family, Giuliana has already been an active participant with her local Breakthrough T1D chapter attending monthly events and hopping on Zoom calls to meet other kids with T1D. Giuliana also formed her first team, G’s Glucose Gang, for this year’s Breakthrough T1D Walk in Philadelphia. Giuliana is looking forward to sharing her story and using her voice to discuss T1D concerns and technology.
