Hannah has a passion for community service. She’s in her school’s Kindness Club, has won an award for her dedication to her local soup kitchen, and has donated diabetes supplies to families in need across the country. She’s planning on a career in nursing or as a diabetes educator. “My hope is to continue giving back to the community.” When she is not busy helping others, Hannah can be found playing varsity basketball and volleyball and is a member of the Spanish Honor Society at school.
Hannah and her family have promoted T1D awareness in their community for many years through their One Walk team, Hannah’s Knights, which has been recognized as a top family team. Hannah has also spoken to her Members of Congress and at school and church about life with T1D. She is thankful for “life-changing” T1D technology advances and Hannah looks forward to continuing to advocate for everyone in the T1D community.
