Jordan recently obtained her brown belt in Goju-Do! She also loves archery, writing, photography, and learning new things. Jordan is very proud that she is able to advocate for topics she is passionate about, including type 1 diabetes. When she grows up, Jordan wants to research and study infectious diseases.

Jordan was diagnosed with T1D in 2012. She remembers staying in the pediatric ICU and a kind nurse giving her a stuffed bear named Rufus. Rufus had T1D just like her! Jordan and her family celebrate her diaversary while also celebrating her mother’s birthday since the diagnosis date and her mom’s birthday fall on the same day. “I think it’s nice to have two positive things to celebrate on the same day. It really helps me embrace what makes me unique!”
