Kaitlin loves playing soccer competitively, acting in plays and drawing with her friends. She hasn’t had T1D for long, and has rapidly adjusted to life with it. She says, “It was hard in the beginning, but now it’s definitely easier. I used to fear shots like crazy, but now they are easy as pie!” She aspires to play soccer in college and become an endocrinologist. This year, she spoke about life with T1D in front of her school. “Since I am pretty new to all of this, I am still learning about everything I can do to help find a cure and make life easier for people with T1D.”
