Age: 11
Age at T1D diagnosis: 1

Kellan enjoys hiking and riding his bike, and he recently started playing basketball. He also loves to hang out with his three dogs. He was very young when he was diagnosed and doesn’t remember not having T1D. When he first started wearing a continuous glucose monitor before the age of 3, his family called it his “engine” because of his love of trucks and told him it tells them how fast he’s going.

Kellan has had a Walk team since he was diagnosed. Every year, he raises awareness and funds through his school. He’s proud to bring type 1 diabetes awareness to his school of more than 1,400 kids.
