Lauren is a multisport athlete who plays basketball and volleyball for her school and club volleyball, where she hopes to compete in the Junior National Tournament this summer. She is bilingual and loves to read or spend time with her friends. Lauren was diagnosed with T1D at 20 months old and is proud to volunteer as a Breakthrough T1D Youth Ambassador. She has also led a Walk team for the past 12 years.

Lauren hopes to one day work as an emergency medicine physician to help those searching for clinical support in a crisis, just as she did during her diagnosis. But for now, she will keep learning from the medical staff at Camp Sweeney!
