Age: 15
Age at T1D diagnosis: 6

Lily loves all kinds of art: painting, sketching and digital art. Someday she would like to be a veterinarian. The newest technologies have made T1D easier for Lily to live with. She is excited for artificial pancreas systems to become available because with them, “It is almost like living normally!” What she wants most is a cure, and she believes that advocacy is how we’re going to get there. She explains, “With continued funding and support from Congress, JDRF can continue to research new technologies to make caring for diabetes easier. My dream is that every person living with type 1 diabetes is allowed the opportunities that I have had to live life to the fullest until a cure is found.”
