Linley is an outgoing, energetic high school freshman who loves running cross country and performing with her school’s show choir. She also loves spending time with friends, listening to music, and traveling. Linley is considering a future career in nursing and says she has been influenced by several outstanding nurses at the Children’s of Mississippi Hospital.

Linley was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at age 13. Suddenly, she was faced with the challenges of managing diabetes while also balancing her very active life as a teenager. This school year, Linley has promoted awareness about T1D among her peers by sharing her personal story with several groups of junior high and high school students at her school. Linley is looking forward to advocating for herself and others with T1D as a 2025 Children’s Congress Delegate, and she is eager to make new friends who are also on this T1D journey.
