Marky is attending JDRF Children’s Congress to help fill the “jar.” As his mom says, Marky recently asked her, “Is the jar almost full?” She asked him, “What jar?” His response: “The jar of money they need to find a cure.” “The only response I could muster,” says Marky’s mom, was ‘We’re working on it buddy.” He definitely is an innovative thinker whose heart is always in the right place! Marky is working toward a cure by leading his JDRF Walk team with inspiring pep talks, participating in the Tour de Cure event, and captaining a JDRF–dedicated float in his town’s yearly parade. He loves ice fishing, spending time with his brother Maddox, reading, and ATV riding. He wants to be a superhero when he grows up (though many would agree that he already is one).
