Meg recently mastered her back handspring for gymnastics! She also loves playing softball with friends and watching basketball. Her favorite team is the Auburn Tigers. and her favorite subject in school is math. She wants to be a pediatrician when she grows up to help children.

Meg was diagnosed with T1D during kindergarten. Her aunt, who is also her pediatrician, was the doctor that diagnosed her. She wasn’t scared at first because she knew she was taken care of. She remembers her first day back at school and how her nurse and teacher cared for her and ensured all her friends knew about T1D. Meg advocates for T1D wherever she goes and proves that you can do anything you want, even with T1D!
