Miranda loves dancing, spending time with her friends at diabetes camp and competing in her school’s science fair. She loves playing with her puppy Emmett and hopes to be a veterinarian when she gets older. When she was first diagnosed, Miranda received shots, but has since enjoyed the recent advances in T1D technology that have made her life with T1D easier. She explains, “When you are on shots your whole life you can get a little uncomfortable around your friends. That’s the reason I like the new technology that they have made in my lifetime so far.” Miranda is a JDRF Walker and ambassador, and she looks forward to adding “Delegate” to that list.
