Olivia is an enthusiastic and passionate advocate for type 1 diabetes awareness and research. Diagnosed with T1D at 8, Olivia has worked hard to manage her condition while pursuing her interests. Olivia was honored as an NYU Langone Youth Achievement Award recipient, an award for demonstrating outstanding qualities in leadership, community outreach, and compassion for others, especially those living with T1D. Whether it’s participating in research studies, serving as a Breakthrough T1D Ambassador and Advocate, or raising money through the Breakthrough T1D Walk, Olivia is always motivated to contribute to the progress being made towards a cure.

Outside of Olivia’s advocacy work, she is an honor student who enjoys traveling, hockey, and hanging out with her friends. When she gets older, Olivia would like to work in sports medicine. With a passion for learning and a commitment to making a positive impact, Olivia is excited to be a part of the Children’s Congress, meet other young advocates, and speak with lawmakers to help shape the future of diabetes research.
