Age: 10
Age at T1D diagnosis: 3

Quinn loves the limelight. She has written a screenplay, “Super Duper Low,” about T1D, which was made into a movie that “teaches kids about diabetes in a fun way.” She plays guitar and percussion, and even performs comedy routines. Her YouTube videos about what life is like with T1D have been viewed by thousands of people, and she’s appeared on TV during Diabetes Awareness Month. Quinn takes time to educate everyone—on or off the small screen—about the disease. “I take any opportunity to talk with people about diabetes,” she shares. She is attending JDRF Children’s Congress “because there are lots of people living with diabetes and all of them are hoping that one day there will be a cure so that they won’t have to live with this disease.”
