Rohan asks Congress to join his extended family of advocates for and supporters of type 1 diabetes research. Diagnosed at age two, he has seen how powerful it can be when people join together. Rohan's younger brother has learned how to check blood sugar, his father encourages his company to support JDRF, and his mother is now a full-time fundraiser for diabetes research. Rohan rallied the support of his classmates when he helped host a school fundraising walk, and he participates with his own team of friends and family each year in the JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes. Rohan has a purple belt in karate, and hopes to one day earn his black belt and train other children. He won a public speaking contest in school, and uses his talents to raise awareness about type 1. One day, Rohan wants to be a professional baseball player.
