Ruby is excited to attend JDRF 2019 Children’s Congress after years of advocating locally for the T1D community, and is ready to meet with federal lawmakers in Washington, D.C. Diagnosed with T1D at just 23 months old, Ruby has been meeting with her Members of Congress since she could talk, and has used her voice to tell them about how important T1D research is to her. Ruby raises awareness for T1D every year at school by getting her classmates to “Wear Blue for Roo” on World Diabetes Day. Ruby is ready for D.C. because, as she says, “I want to be a part of Children’s Congress to help everyone with diabetes!”
