Teagan is extremely passionate about water polo and has played in the National Tournament in California and competed at the Junior Olympics. Teagan is also a varsity swimmer and helps coach younger kids on the swim team. She’s hopeful that continuous glucose monitors get better at reading blood sugar underwater! Math is her favorite subject, and Teagan hopes to be a high school math teacher when she grows up.

Teagan has spoken with her Member of Congress and even educated the Chicago Cubs staff at Wrigley Field about T1D. She has run for Team JDRF at Disney World (5K and 10K), spoken at One Walks, Galas, and Rides, and is a JDRF Youth Ambassador. “I live life to the fullest and figure out how to manage my diabetes from there.”
