Victoria’s mom, Mary, calls her daughter “a great role model for not letting type 1 diabetes get in the way of doing anything.” A spunky six-year-old, Victoria is learning how to read and already enjoys camping and hiking. She wears an insulin pump and a continuous glucose monitor, which help keep her healthy in spite of her T1D.

Victoria also loves skiing and snowboarding, gymnastics, and arts and crafts. In the future, she looks forward to working with animals, becoming a pop star, or even being in the circus. She would also love to learn how to rock climb. Victoria is attending Children’s Congress as a way, her mom says, “to experience the power of her voice and her story and to witness it in others.”
