Age: 17
Age at T1D diagnosis: 11

“I have not stopped doing the things I love or stopped living since my diagnosis,” proudly states Zack. “It has motivated me to work harder and not give up.” Some of those things Zack loves? Volunteering with less fortunate kids, playing sports and advocating for T1D research, to name a few. He was also the first young person to be awarded the prestigious 2014 Person of the Year by the CYO–Troy Youth Association. Zack takes to the stage and the page for T1D advocacy. He has spoken at golf fundraisers and JDRF Walks, appeared in his local newspapers, met with council members, and held fundraising dinners to support the cause. He is here to spread a message of hope: “The most important thing I would like to say is, never give up on your dreams.”
