David Paul was diagnosed with T1D on June 11, 2020.  Since then, David Paul and his mom have been active in the T1D community.  They have participated in the Breakthrough T1D Walk for the last 3 years.  David Paul and his mom have also volunteered at the Gala. “Helping others navigate a life with T1D is very important for our family. We want others to know they are not alone.”

David Paul loves soccer, especially when he is playing goalkeeper!  He also keeps busy with baseball and football. Just recently, David Paul won an award for having the highest GPA on the football team.  In addition to all the athletics, David Paul keeps his straight As as a priority.  Both mom and dad could not be prouder of him! David Paul is also active in the church, altar serving and attending weekly youth group.

One of David Paul’s favorite activities is attending diabetes week at Louisiana Lions Camp.  One week to enjoy a week away at summer camp, establishing a deeper understanding of diabetes, independence in managing diabetes, and having a lot of fun!
