Fallon’s enthusiastic spirit is clear to all who hear her story. This varsity soccer player remains active and upbeat. “Type 1 diabetes changed my life, but it didn’t change my athletic abilities, my dreams, and my future goals. As a Native American, I want other native kids to know that you can live and live well even if you are type 1.”
Fallon participated in the Closed-Loop Artificial Pancreas Trial at Massachusetts General Hospital, and she promotes T1D awareness each day as her school’s only student with T1D. Fallon loves showing animals at the Bi-County Fair, participating in 4-H, and competing as an archer. Fallon’s other dreams—attending Dartmouth College and traveling the world—are just as compelling as spreading her message. “I want kids to know that type 1 diabetes doesn’t have to determine your life.”
