Age at T1D diagnosis: 1

Krish was diagnosed with T1D at just 16 months old and has never known life without it. Now a 14-year-old freshman in high school on a merit scholarship, he’s passionate about advocacy, education, and finding a cure for T1D. Krish loves playing tennis and basketball, competing in debate tournaments, and co-authored a research article on pre-diabetes in adolescents.

Living with T1D has taught Krish resilience and the importance of community. He’s spoken at schools, trained nurses on T1D management, and advocates for insulin affordability. Krish’s name, inspired by the Hindu deity Krishna, reflects his commitment to fairness and giving back. Through Breakthrough T1D Children’s Congress, he hopes to amplify the voices of those living with T1D and inspire change in Congress.
