Stella was diagnosed with T1D just a few days after her third birthday. As her mom explains, “JDRF is her advocate, as well as the best weapon in the fight against type 1 diabetes for thousands of children. Without the fundraising efforts of JDRF, diabetes research and technology would not be at the exciting place it is now. For the first time in history, type 1 truly is at a place where a cure is in sight.” Stella loves taking care of her family pets, playing with her brothers, practicing ballet, and learning about her Native American heritage from her grandma. Stella and her family participated in a JDRF Walk, raising $11,000, and they are also organizing a golf tournament to benefit T1D research.
