Tyler was diagnosed with T1D when he was 3 years old and has been living with it for 10 years now. Tyler remembers how scary it was when he was diagnosed and how hard it was to learn how to manage and cope with T1D, so he enjoys helping other kids learn how to live with T1D. He attends T1D camp and events yearly and shows other kids how to change their insulin pump sites, test their blood, and manage their T1D. “I like helping other kids learn about their condition so they will not have to be as scared and frustrated as I was, and they can know they can have a happy and fun life with T1D.”
Tyler enjoys anything adventurous and outdoors—he recently went on a zip-lining adventure in Arkansas— and also loves powerlifting, playing basketball, robotics, building, and drawing.
Tyler knows a lot about cars and is proud of his ability to draw and replicate any car. Growing up, he would like to be a graphic designer, architect, scientist, or engineer.
