Walker was diagnosed with T1D on December 13, 2024. Being diagnosed almost 5 years after his brother, Walker has always known about diabetes. At age 7, he is learning to count carbs, read labels, and manage a life with highs and lows. He may be new to having diabetes, but he is not new to fighting for a cure. He has participated in the local chapter Walks for years.

Walker loves sports, including baseball, soccer, football, and basketball! He could throw a ball or shoot hoops all day, and his recent diagnosis hasn’t slowed him down at all. Not only does Walker love sports, but he is also a straight-A student!

In his downtime, Walker loves to draw. He has filled up many sketchbooks with his beautiful pictures.

Walker will not let diabetes define his ability or what he will be. Right now, he dreams of going to Notre Dame and playing football for the Fighting Irish.
